I usually don’t write reviews but I had to for this awesome hair care line! Let me start with the smell of alllll the ones I’ve purchased! They smell so yummy I mean like literally make you wanna eat your hair lol but for real I can’t stop smelling it once I’ve put them on. And I LOVE them all! The leave in conditioner, the mousse, hair cream and the edge control gel all are my favs!! I stumbled across this line from watching Good Morning America so I purchased once, loved those and then went back and grabbed more. This is for sure my new hair care line that I will be using and I’ve told all my other family and friends about it. Superb products!🤌🏾

I purchased the mousse, gel and heat protector. While I don't use heat I purchased it because it said it prevented FRIZZ, which was a major issue for me. Started out the day looking cute and one wave of humidity and I looked unkept. Welp NO FRIZZ after all day and sleeping on it. I don't even have to apply multiple times. Just once when I wash and set on my rods. I love the edge gel too. About to order shampoo and conditioner. Thanks Ms. Donna for being so aggressive with your demands for hydrating controlling product!!! 🤣

So, picture this: Yesterday, I'm strolling out of Home Goods, minding my own business, when BAM! A lady stops me, laser-focused on my hair. Next thing I know, I'm full-on channeling my inner Tabitha Brown, complete with the "Well honey come on!" – which, let's be real, is NOT my usual vernacular. I practically dragged this poor woman into Ulta, giving her the full 4C hair gospel according to Donna's Recipe. Shampoo, conditioner, the whole shebang! I even had to explain that Donna is, in fact, my hair's name. The look on her face? Priceless. But hey, she walked out with the entire line, so who's laughing now? If you are doing a flex rod set this is a must have. Moisture for days & no crunchy hair!
Side note: slick your edges with the whipped vanilla cream edge gel.

I used the Vanilla Whipped Mousse for my wash and go, the photo below is 3 days old. I truly love this product. Finally a mousse I can use alone on color, that doesn’t dry my hair out! Love, love, love!!
